Our home was once a ruined farmhouse, but over the last 12 years, it has been restored and modified to the wonderful accommodation and family home that it is now. Having bought the property in 2018 and moving our family to France from the UK, we love to live in the countryside, surrounded by nature and the changing scenery through the seasons. We now live and work from home full time so are always around to help with any queries. The property is located on 2 acres of land with large garden, orchard, pond and stream which our guests are welcome to use and explore at their leisure.

We do have 2 dogs and 2 cats but they are kept separate to the guests accommodation. We are also located in the countryside and therefore access and use of your own car is essential.

Our home is situated in a small French village called Etusson which is part of the wider commune of Saint Maurice Etusson. Our house is a traditional style farm house which has been divided into three with our main house and two independent cottages which are also known as gites. Each cottage has all of the essentials for modern living and yet has the charming features of the bygone days. Set in beautiful French countryside with views over fields to the village of Etusson, it is relaxing and peaceful, ideal for cycling, walking, fishing and kayaking.
The neighbouring villages of Argenton-les-Vallees and Nueil Les Aubiers have shops, hairdressers, pharmacy, boulangeries, butchers, markets etc. - in fact everything you need for today's lifestyle. We are only a 25 minute drive from larger towns including Bressuire, Vihiers, Mauleon and Thouars and you can reach the larger cities of Cholet, Nantes, Poitiers easily by car.
We are also just under 40 minutes drive from the Puy du Fou theme park which is voted the best in Europe and one of the top five in the world!
There are also many tourist attractions within easy reach: we are only 40 mins from the Puy du Fou - an historic theme park with lavish theatrical extravaganzas, 20 mins from France's largest Oriental garden and only a few minutes from Chateau and wine tasting.
Your hosts, Elfed and Lisa, are originally from the UK and are here to provide you with a warm welcome and comfortable stay. We moved here in 2018 as a family with our youngest daughter Beth and our two welsh border collies, Monty and Judy. After long military and financial services careers, we moved to France to enjoy the slower pace of life, wonderful countryside and friendly people.

J'ai beaucoup apprecie le cadre qui est d'un calme. On a pris l'option avec cuisine afin de pouvoir etre independant pour les repas. La cuisine avait vraiment tout ce qu'il fallait niveau equipement. L'immense jardin est un veritable paradis pour les insectes en tout genre.

Gentillesse des proprietaires, gite au calme bien equipe avec une tres belle decoration a l'etage, beau jardin pour se balader en harmonie avec la nature, stationnement juste devant, literie tres confortable, nous etions 4 collegues et le gite etait parfait avec deux chambres (chacune son propre lit) et deux salles de bain

We have just spent a couple of nights at TLC gites and we can thoroughly recommend it. Lisa and Elf, the owners, are simply the most amazing hosts; we loved spending time with them over a glass or two of wine. The setting is stunning with beautiful views and the gites themselves are decorated with a very stylish way. 5 stars all the way, you couldn’t hope for a better place to rest your head and explore the surroundings.
