Our comfortable home is an easy bus ride to excellent language schools and links to the beautiful south coast of England, cathedral cities and London. I taught for 35 years in secondary schools in Africa and the U.K. I retired 2 years ago with my husband. We have 2 friendly, lazy greyhounds which we walk every day over the moors, the beach or in the New Forest.
We enjoy meeting people and look forward to welcoming you into our home and showing you the local sights other tourists won't see. By sharing petrol costs we would be happy to show you the nearby cities and towns of Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset. The bedroom is a double for single occupancy and the private modern bathroom adjoins it. We have a sunny patio and garden, perfect for chilling! I am a qualified TEFL teacher (with Enhanced CRB/DBS clearance, ask to see certificate) and can offer private English lessons for a negotiated price. You would be provided with a substantial breakfast and fresh, traditional home cooked evening meal. You also have your own TV and use of washing machine. The house has 3 double bedrooms and bathrooms. One bedroom and bathroom on the first floor would be for your use only. For the best English family home stay experience, you won't go wrong!

We are situated in quite a rural area of Dorset with great walks and cycling in country parks, yet the bus stops outside our house and within a short time you can be in the New Forest market town of Ringwood or the famous south coast beaches of Bournemouth and Poole. We frequently visit the cities of Winchester, Southampton, Portsmouth and Salisbury. The centre of West Moors is a walk away but just down the road is a great cafe selling homemade cakes and small supermarket.

I use this home stay when passing through the UK as it is like a home from home. I love the south coast and its varied walking environments. The food is always good and plenty of it! The room is comfortable with ample storage. Karen and Dave are excellent hosts, always making me welcome and one of the family.
