Upstairs has 5 rooms, 2 of which have long term residents (including me) and the others may have guests occasionally. There is a small living room with local TV and a shared balcony outside with a stove to use as you like.

The homestay is located on the second road of Parapat town, a 5 minute walk to the dock where you can take the boat to Samosir Island and a 10 minute walk to the main road. There are plenty of small shops to buy food from nearby. You can also pay a small fee to access the hotel swimming pools that are close by. You can swim in the lake too but it's recommended you go take a local car about 5 minutes down the road to the beach. There isn't much entertainment in Parapat, but you there are places to go to hear live music or sing some kareoke. There are also nice walks to take and very friendly locals will be very happy to see and greet you. I can also organise jungle trekking nearby if you like, as well as bike rental on the island and accommodation on the island.
