Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, close to Routes 71, 270, and 315. There is a dining room, kitchen, play room, family room, basement, laundry room, patio, huge backyard, and of course bedrooms and bathrooms. Your room is big, with a double closet and attached private bathroom. It is furnished with a twin bed, a nightstand, dresser, bookshelf, t.v., and desk. Our home has a security system so that you can feel safe and comfortable at all times.
I have worked with international students in university admissions for 9 years and have visited over 40 countries. My children, ages 2 and 7, also enjoy meeting friends from around the world and sharing stories. As a guest in our home, you are welcome to join us for as many or as few activities as you wish such as visiting festivals, going on trips to museums, or dining at one of Columbus' amazing restaurants. Our backyard is also the perfect place to relax with some tea and a good book.
If you need some help with setting up your bank account, getting your cell phone to work here, or any other details, I am happy to help! Additionally, transportation can be arranged on occasion for an additional cost should you need it on a temporary basis.
The homestay includes a daily breakfast such as cereal, yogurt and granola, fruit, or eggs as well as two family dinners each week. The kitchen is available for you to prepare food at other times of day. Additionally, clothes can be washed in the laundry room as needed.

Our home is within walking distance to a library, bowling alley and volleyball park, gym, convenience store, butcher shop, fast food, and more. There are 2 bus stops nearby, however, a car is highly recommended. By car, all Columbus area universities are about 15 minutes away. Our family enjoys going to parks, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, libraries, playgrounds, COSI, restaurants, and more.

A host family is so kind and friendly. Whenever you need some help (e.g., making a bank account, looking for a car, etc) for visiting life, the Host family will help you as much as possible.
A guest room has a private bathroom, TV, closet, mirror, bookshelf, and desk. Wifi is available and washing clothes is easy in the basement.
