My home is situated 4 minutes by car to the centre of Amersham and the bus stop is a one minute walk away. Regular Metropolitan Line Underground service and Chiltern Rail trains enable passengers to reach central London in 40-50 minutes, arriving at Marylebone Station or Baker Street station respectively. Links to tourist attractions, famous landmarks in London are subsequentially easily connectable! The old town of Amersham which is a brisk 15-20 minute walk from the house, has a Museum of interest and upmarket clothing shops, traditional pubs and restaurants, plus a Tesco Superstore, which are all accessible in a brisk 15 minutes walk. Amersham-on-the-Hill hosts a wide variety of banks HSBC/ National Westminster/Barclays and Santander. Marks & Spencer & Waitrose food, dry cleaners, phone shops, charity shops, WH Smiths/ Robert Dyas/Pizza Hut, Fish and Chips, numerous hair salons, Indian, Kebab, and French cuisine and coffee shops with wi-fi faciities are all on offer.
Amersham has a Leisure Centre which has an indoor swimming pool, a gym and numerous sporting fitness classes. Next door is the Library which is open to all to use as a reading or a study area, plus the use of computer facilities.
The house overlooks 'The Chilterns', which is a classified designated area of beauty. There are plenty of planned and well signed routes available for short or long walks within a stone's throw of the house. Alternatively you can relax in the garden. I keep 1 chicken that provides fresh eggs daily, so there is never a shortage for breakfast!!
London Heathrow and London Luton Airports are easily accessed by car, 25-35 minutes either way. Pick up/Drop off can be provided at an additional charge.
everything was perfect. Frances was very kind person. She was with me like family . also room and bed was clean, all of facilities in the house were useful and nice. especially her cooking skill is impressive. I could try a lot of food which was very delicious. it was nice time! but distance between home and station is quite far. it would take 30~35minutes by walking. bus station is in front of the house. but bus would come once an hour. the bus always come per 1 hour
